'81 CB750K cafe/brat build

zikkre
Hey y'all - This is my first bike and my first build. I've spent lots of time working on cars, but never on bikes so it's a little bit of a 'learn as you go' process. I got the bike for cheep and in relatively okay condition. From what I can tell it was stock(ish) aside from the seat, bars, ridiculously custom botched wiring job, and a few other odds and ends. Here's what it looked like when I first got it

As soon as I got it I put a 4to1 exhaust and painted some things up to make it a little more what I was going for, but it was riding season so I wanted to minimize down time.

Now that it's winter, however, I put it inside and I'm going for a relatively extensive overhaul. It definitely needs a whole new wiring loom etc because whoever butchered it before did a real good job. I'm also putting a seat loop on, new bars, making a seat, etc. Here are some pictures of what I've done so far! I'll keep adding as I slowly progress. It's not the cleanest build in the world, but I'd say its not bad for a first go.

Wiring is always a pain to work on. partsnmore.com or davidsilverspares.com may have a harness if you need one.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

Welcome, zikkre. Good call on the 4-1. They sound wicked
